There's a new beta available: https://anki.tenderapp.com/discussions/beta-testing/1000-anki-210-beta-36
Final version has been released (+ 2 udpates): https://apps.ankiweb.net/docs/changes.html
Created attachment 544098 [details] anki-2.1.2 ebuild New version is released, this time 2.1.2. I also attached proposed ebuild (based on 2.0_beta27) and patch to ebuild. pyaudio is now a requirement unconditionally, i.e. anki won't start without it. mplayer has been replaced with mpv as official doc says. I also couldn't record anything, probably it has something to do with pyaudio and alsa and my microphone (channel mapping not available).
Created attachment 544100 [details, diff] patch to the ebuild 2.0_beta27
I also couldn't figure out myself whether ui files need to be rebuild. In release version, they all built with PyQt5.9 but Gentoo has 5.10. Otherwise, everything works so far, except audio recording (playing is working fine).
another version bump: 2.1.3 is out.
another version bump to 2.1.4 just merely copying the proposed 2.1.2 ebuild works for version 2.1.3, but not for 2.1.4.
Created attachment 547462 [details] error that pops up when using the proposed anki-2.1.2.ebuild for v.2.1.4
(In reply to Sleepy Mario from comment #7) > Created attachment 547462 [details] > error that pops up when using the proposed anki-2.1.2.ebuild for v.2.1.4 I couldn't reproduce this issue, 2.1.4 works fine on my system. Can you please share the output of: # equery files anki for version 2.1.4? The version also does have a patch that is needed to find the "web" folder. Is the patch applied correctly on your system? Could you please share the file "mediasrv.py" from the installed package (v. 2.1.4)?
I forgot to put myself on the mailing list and completely missed the last post, my apologies. I moved to ~amd64 in the meantime. Also, v. 2.1.5 is available now and the prebuilt 2.1.5 binary does seem to be working now, so I'll guess I'll stick with that for now.
It's now 2.1.5. After upgrading QT to 5.11, I have the following issue. https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/58734
(In reply to crocket from comment #10) > It's now 2.1.5. > > After upgrading QT to 5.11, I have the following issue. > > https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/58734 Qt 5.11 is not supported: https://anki.tenderapp.com/discussions/beta-testing/1152-bugs-on-qt-511 https://anki.tenderapp.com/discussions/beta-testing/1156-trying-to-update-anki-to-use-qt-511 Most likely author will not support Qt 5.11, the next supported release should be 5.12 (LTS).
Then, I'll have to mask 5.11 for a while.
The current binary version needs libwayland-client from the wayland package
*** Bug 673546 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I have already stabilized app-misc/anki-2.1.8 on my overlay.
This should be updated to version 2.1.9. The version in portage is 2.1.0_beta27, but no tarballs are available for this version, so any newer package in portage would be great!
We're now at anki-2.1.11-source.tgz
Created attachment 578984 [details] anki-2.1.13.ebuild Update to anki 2.1.13
https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=993ef0de780a19cc7f973407032ada2054b38108 Should be resolved with this.
