sources.gentoo.org is mostly old and the look doesn't comply with other gentoo sites.
so I suggest to link to gitweb.gentoo.org from the other sites (e.g. dropdown menu on www.gentoo.org).
furthermore a link to sources.gentoo.org could be added to gitweb.gentoo.org for those who need to access the old stuff.

May be sources.gentoo.org is old, but where I can take ebuild for net-fs/samba-4.1.22? 

I need it now.

please stop polluting this bug. Your comment has nothing to to with what this bug is about.

This was fixed in commit:

A new option was added with the Gitweb section, and old Sources was renamed to "CVS Sources"

this seems to work on www.gentoo.org but *not* on other sites like gitweb.gentoo.org, packages.gentoo.org, wiki.gentoo.org and probably others.
