Description Arlo 2004-09-22 17:34:02 UTC
I emerge smb4k with the following flags.

[ebuild N ] net-misc/smb4k-0.3.2 -arts -debug -xinerama

configure fails with:
checking for mcopidl... not found
configure: error: The important program mcopidl was not found!
Please check whether you installed aRts correctly.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set -arts (or omit from USE)
2. emerge smb4k

Actual Results:
Configure fails at arts dep.

Expected Results:
The ebuild to complete.

You should try 0.4.1a.

I ended up just emerging arts anyway so it would work. This is just an ebuild problem I think, not a problem with smb4k itself, though maybe their autotools configuration is not set-up correctly and emerge cannot disable arts support without a patch. Anyhow, I'm not sure this that big an issue, I just wanted to notify that the ebuild had this quirk.

Should not be a problem with newer versions of smb4k.
