The actual error message is: `/usr/bin/install: cannot create regular file '/var/tmp/portage/dev-util/crash-7.2.1/image//usr/bin': No such file or directory` I suggest to adjust the summary of this bug report.

I need this, so I plan to commit this fix if Doug does not have it updated in a week, or if he tells me to go ahead sooner.
