Hi, with uClibc-ng 1.0.29 there is a stub implementation for libintl and gettext-tiny (msgfmt, xgettext, ..) is included. The included minimal iconv implementation works fine for most of the packages and use-cases for small desktop systems. Therefore I suggest to remove libintl/libiconv selection from the uclibc profile. best regards Waldemar

I tried to jump to 1.0.28 and got breakage wrt LD_LIBRARY_PATH in python:3.5 when trying to locate libgcc_s.so. This was hit in a catalyst run and I had to backtrack to 1.0.26. I'm going to try to settle down there again and then see if a jump to 1.0.29 breaks again. If it does, I'll open a second bug and see if we can track that down. Once on 1.0.29, we can drop the dependency on a standalone libintl.
uclibc support in Gentoo has been removed.
