Description Bryan 2004-09-21 13:48:17 UTC
Trying to emerge scrot.. which depends on giblib, though giblib also depends imlib, and errors about imlib needing a X use flag wich was supplied though does not fix.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.USE=X emerge imlib imlib2
2.emerge giblib
3.error

Actual Results:
./usr/share/doc/
./usr/share/doc/giblib-1.2.4/
./usr/share/doc/giblib-1.2.4/README.gz
./usr/share/doc/giblib-1.2.4/AUTHORS.gz
./usr/share/doc/giblib-1.2.4/ChangeLog.gz
>>> Done.
>>> extracting info
gcc: /var/tmp/portage-pkg/giblib-1.2.4/inf/files/imlib-x-test.c: No such
file or directory

!!! ERROR: giblib-1.2.4/giblib-1.2.4 failed.
!!! Function pkg_setup, Line 22, Exitcode 1
!!! You need to re-emerge Imlib2 with USE=X

Expected Results:
let giblib know that imlib has X use and complete emerge giblib.

this is actually a portage bug (see Bug 61856)

ive added a workaround in the meantime; you'll have to re-emerge the package as the binary giblib package included the 'broken' ebuild
