emerge.log.gz

hello,
i have installed libreoffice and have many problems with this.

i must start the installation process more then 3 times (while compiling break with error) to finish the installation and one of the needed packages need librdf (redland) which i must install manual because the depency to install it automatic is missing.

i add the emerge.log from the installation to help you to find the package which need redland and have no depency for it.

i think, that some other depency can be missing and that this is the reason for the compiler errors.

today i finished the installation after some days of no time to do it.

Um, your /var/log/emerge.log does not tell us what your installation problem is. Perhaps you should attach an actual build.log. The emerge output tells you where that is stored.

app-office/libreoffice-bin properly depends on redland, where's the problem?
Comment 3 dieter ferdinand 2018-02-17 08:35:41 UTC
hello,
the problem is, that an other packages, which is need for libreoffice also need redland and this package break installing because redland is not installed at the time this package is installing.

i plan to update my server in the next two weeks and then i can get the build logs. on my test-system i have installed libreoffice successfull after some tries.

If by the above you really meant 3 different packages were failing to build, then you have a broader underlying problem than a missing dependency.

The attached log is useless to us. Next time you encounter a build issue, save the build.log of that exact package and submit it in a bug report dedicated to that package.

libreoffice-bin is fine, closing this bug.
