Description Paul Kronenwetter 2002-08-14 16:37:30 UTC
Openssl, Openssh and wget are compiled to SPARC32PLUS target and this doesn't
work on "normal" SPARC (non-64) machines. This only applies to the stage-3 (and
perhaps stage-2 although I haven't tried) installs from the 1.1a-r1 tarball.

Rebuilding all three (with openssl first) on the 4M arch I have builds them
correctly and they function well afterwords.

Reproducibility: Type: file /usr/bin/openssl
If it responds with SPARC32PLUS, you've found it. If it responds SPARC then I'm
nuts.

file /usr/bin/openssl
/usr/bin/openssl: ELF 32-bit MSB executable, SPARC32PLUS, V8+ Required, version
1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.0.0, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), stripped
Comment 2 Paul Kronenwetter 2002-11-25 09:26:06 UTC
The openssl file *should not* be a SPARC32PLUS file, just a SPARC.
