Networkmanager 1.8.4 refuses to auto connect to wifi networks that are set to "automatically connect when this network is available". manually connecting to the network works without a problem.

also restarting networkmanager while kde is already running, solves the problem and networkmanager afterwards connects to networks automatically that are configured and in reach

fixed by adding elogind to the boot level
