Which 2004.2 CD are you using, Universal or Minimal? Also, have you tried the 2004.2-r1 Minimal CD in /experimental on your local mirror?
im using the 2004.2 universal CD, can you point somewhere to see the changelog of the minimal-r1? thanks
There is no ChangeLog, since I wasn't planning on making it an official release. User demand made me release it. Essentially, it is a culmination of a few bug fixes, which are mostly cosmetic. It also allows for booting on some machines with non-compliant BIOS software. There is also only one kernel on the CD, as most of the bug reports that I have gotten for 2004.2 were from the gentoo kernel.
i tried the minimal-r1 this morning and i have had the same error :(
well i have tried again to try to solve the problem and the problem was physical, my cdrom drive cant load well livecd`s while the dvd works perfectly, so i think we can close now this bug
Closing then due to users request
