When seeking (forward or backward with the slider at the bottom) through ogg files, nothing happens - the sound skips shortly and playback continues at exactly the same position. I'm using the xine playback-engine, xine 1rc5-r3. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start amarok 2. play ogg-file 3. try to seek trough it Portage 2.0.50-r11 (2004.2, gcc-3.3.4, glibc-2.3.3.20040420-r1, 2.6.8-gentoo-r3) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.8-gentoo-r3 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) processor Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 distcc 2.16 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [enabled] Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.59-r4 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.5-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=athlon-tbird -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -m3dnow -mmmx" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon-tbird -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -m3dnow -mmmx" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="distcc sandbox sfperms userpriv usersandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/gentoo/ http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/opsys/linux/gentoo/ ftp://gd.tuwien.ac.at/opsys/linux/gentoo/ ftp://gentoo.inode.at/source/ http://gentoo.inode.at/" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://10.0.0.1/gentoo-portage" USE="3dnow X acpi alsa apache2 arts artswrappersuid avi berkdb bitmap-fonts crypt cups divx4linux dvd encode fbcon flac foomaticdb gdbm gif gtk2 guile icq imlib jabber java jpeg kde libg++ libwww linguas_de mad maildir mbox mikmod mmx motif mpeg mysql ncurses nls nptl offensive oggvorbis opengl oscar pam pda pdflib perl pic png ppds python qt quicktime readline samba sdl slang spell ssl svg tcpd tetex tiff truetype usb videos x86 xine xml2 xmms xprint xv xvid zlib"
forgot to add that I'm not sure whether to report this here or at kde.bugs.org since I believe strongly that it's a amarok-bug .. if I should have reported it upstream, please tell me when to do so .. thanks!
I'm sorry .. but upgrading to xine 1rc7 has solved the problem - silly me, I should've waited. Sorry for wasting your time.
