Description Joe McCann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-18 17:53:54 UTC
I know gxine isn't really maintained anymore, but this is a simple patch to the .desktop file to include a list of mime types that gxine should be associated with. Ebuild should also inherit the freedesktop eclass so it can update the mime data base after a successful merge. This will enable gxine to show up in the list of applications to run for various media files in the new gnome release, and in the future with any application that uses the freedesktop spec.

In the latest version now. With tons more mime-types it seems :).. Thanks for posting and using Gentoo!
