Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2018-01-22 19:58:04 UTC
Hello,

When I was reviewing blackace bug I found that I couldn't CC Ops team. It seems they have no bugzilla account. It would be nice to create it if possible to allow us to easily contact with them from bugzilla

Thanks

To make a new account, ops@gentoo.org just has to sign up to bugzilla; we don't automatically make accounts for email aliases.

Last I checked, @gentoo.org was blocked from opening accounts, and Infra was responsible for doing that. Of course, presuming ops team is actually alive enough to request one.

"If you're a Gentoo developer, either contact your recruiter, bugzilla@gentoo.org or join us in #gentoo-infra and ask us to change your mail address."

Oh poop :(

The default public nature of bug reports doesn't really play well with "power abuse" type dispute resolution, which is a cause an ops@g.o bugzilla account would very likely get subverted to.

As to the original reason for requesting participation in "reviewing $some_op bug" it is hard to tell what that participation would have looked like and that is why no one has spoken up for the ops@g.o team on this bug report so far.

PS: Reports of the ops@ team's death have been greatly exaggerated.
