Description Andres Järv 2004-09-17 14:30:53 UTC
The libGL segfaults. But when i run opengl-update nvidia, sometimes the OpenGL starts working, but sometimes it says that it cant find the display and needs an X reboot to get it working. It is really very annoying to get it every time :( Is it the fault of the opengl-update script or what, i really have no idea. That's why I'm turning to you guys! (things regarding X, i have Xorg 6.8.0, the nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx drivers and I'm using GDM)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. First logon of the boot to X
2. Start some OpenGL app
3.

Actual Results:
The app segfaults

Some configs and logs would help this bug.
Comment 3 Andres Järv 2004-11-30 03:02:02 UTC
Hmm.. the bug already resolved for me. It was about some old 55xx libGL's being in the /lib directory, so that after every emerge, the libGL symlinks were changed to the older files(I really dont now why). I deleted the old libGL's and now it's all good.

OK well thats userspace which means we cant really control it..

Closing.
