discord-app fails to start with 0.0.4 update, this is the output after running the `discord` command: Discord 0.0.4 Starting updater. And then nothing else happens. Do you have old discord processes running?

Downloaded the discord-bin-0.0.7-PTB (the testing client I assume) from upstream and it runs without issues. It's not in portage, contains some kind of webauth for login, maybe it should be slotted.

I cleared all data in ~/ belonging to discord, re-emerged 0.0.4 and now it runs fine, I still have the DiscordPTB client, a few versions ahead, both runs. No mention of "Starting Updater" in cli anymore. I have rebooted since initial bugreport as well, if that affects anything. There was leftover data in ~/.config/discord/, not cleared upon patch
I have the same issue. I removed ~/.config/discord and re-emerged, and the problem persists. $ discord Discord 0.0.4 Starting updater. [program dies] It creates ~/.config/discord/0.0.4 with nothing in it. emerge --info net-im/discord-bin: https://pastebin.com/hfD6ikX1
Ah, I spoke too soon, it started minimized in the background so I didn't notice it. Seems to work OK now. I still think this is a bug as it takes an undocumented manual step to make it work.
