While running scripts/bootstrap.sh during attempt to get Gentoo running this failed with this error message :-

ERROR: sys-libs/glibc-2.3.3.20040420 failed Function src_compile, Line 587, Exitcode 2 .


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Attempt to compile Gentoo Linux 2004.2
2.Complete stage 1
3.Commence to go to stage 2 by running scripts/bootstrap.sh or bootstrap-2.6.sh

Actual Results:  
Have run out of ideas at present.

Expected Results:  
Allowed me to proceed to completion.

Please post the full error, not just one line ..

Brian, there's nothing we can do with the scant information you've provided.  A paste of the _ACTUAL_ compile error would go a long way to solving this.  Please reopen the bug when you can provide that info.
