LFS 8.1 is released : 

LFS Stable Version 8.1 Release

The Linux From Scratch community announces the release of LFS Version 8.1. Major changes include toolchain updates to glibc-2.26, binutils-2.29, and and gcc-7.2.0. In total, 32 packages were updated since the last stable release. Changes to the text have also been made throughout the book. The Linux kernel has also been updated to version 4.12.7.

app-doc/linuxfromscratch has already hit version 8.2. I think this bug can be closed/marked as resolved.
