Comment 1 Simone Gotti (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-16 02:01:01 UTC
This is a segfault of "ld" so it's more related to a problem with glibc, binutils or a system problem.

I have your same CFLAGS (but gcc 3.4.1) and I can't reprocduce it.

Can you reproduce it again and does it happens at the same place?
Comment 2 gunner carstens 2004-09-16 23:28:13 UTC
Compiling it for the 3. time succeded. I did no tweaks, just as suggested, compiled it to see if it stopped the same place. And then it succeded.

Seems like I have something else going on - perhaps with the hardware. I have tried to compile the kde 3.3.3 and have had 3 different 'bugs' in trying to compile it. One dissapeared when I took of the distcc, but the other 2 were just 'handled' with a recompile. This is on a mashine that newer used to give me problems. So perhaps my harddisk have gone bad or something.

Thanksfor your suggestion.
