There is a new bugfix version of sqlite, the 2.6.1 ebuild 
works fine, so all that's needed is just a 
 
       cp sqlite-2.6.1.ebuild sqlite-2.6.3.ebuild 
 
The biggest changes mentioned in the changelog are: 
 
- sqlite is now endianness neutral (i.e. db's are platform-independent). 
- Bug fixes in GROUP BY and ORDER BY
