A new version 0.8.8 was released recently.

yeah.  doesn't compile for me so I'm not putting it in.

I tested a short moment and found the problem. The game does compile as long as no -O? flag is given. Seems to trigger a bug in GCC (3.4.2-r1).

any code that breaks with -O seems pretty nasty to me.  version bumped it anyhow.
