Created attachment 509974 [details, diff] app-text-fbreader-Remove-stable-keywords.patch Upstream project is dead since a while. They work on a new codebase and are focused android and iOS. As no other ebuilds depend on fbreader removing stable keywords should not affect anyone.
Why? I use it nearly every day, it works fine.
While reading the keywording guideline, I had the feeling "widely tested, known to work and not have any serious issues" did not go well with a project being dead, especially as it parses untrusted input. Guideline obviously does not support my feelings here and besides that I do not have knowledge of unfixed security bugs. So sorry about that. It was quite late. I'm fine with WONTFIX. @grozin: thx for resolving my other bugs.
didn't know I could change status myself ...
Well, I'm not really sure. There are just 2 good ebook readers in Gentoo: fbreader and coolreader. Both projects are dead with respect to Linux (they continue to be developed on Android, but not on the desktop). I think we should have something for end users (who presumably run stable) for reading books. coolreader was added recently, and is ~amd64 ~x86 (and is equally dead). So, I prefer to keep fbreader stable. I have a huge ebook library, and fbreader is one of most frequently used programs on my laptop. Thank you for making it better by using libunibreak. From my (very limited) observations today, it correctly hyphenates words in English and Russian (I know no other languages).
