lets bump to 1.9.2 and try then
Comment 3 Andreas Korinek 2004-10-25 12:32:53 UTC
1.9.2 works for me (x86), I just copied the 1.9.1b ebuild
Comment 4 Jon Hood (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-25 19:36:18 UTC
1.9.2 now in portage; I'll move it to stable soon if I get no bug reports.
Comment 5 HopeSeekr 2004-10-29 08:40:48 UTC
It is my request that you *not* move 1.9.3 to stable!! For the love of god, no!

The primary internal designation of "stable" is 0 memleaks and 0 cpuleaks (cpu usage increasing needlessly over time). 1.9.3 has 1 out-standing CPU leak which should be corrected in 1.9.4.

Additionaly, there is one major unresolved bug in the 1.9.x series: xMule will crash if a server has one of the brand-new unicode titles. If i don't find that one here, I'll post a bug report myself, as this is a show stopper for many atm.

1.9.3 also supports wx 2.5.3 and this should be preferred by emerge (is that possible?) over 2.4.x, as it fixes other issues (like CPU leaks in GTK 2).
