Description Florian Loitsch 2004-09-14 18:24:53 UTC
I had installed x11-base/xfree-4.3.0-r6 configured for ipv6 on a machine
without ipv6 support (forgot the option in the kernel).
When I logged into this machine with "ssh -X" it refused forwarding X11.
Using strace I finally found the problem: xfree just tries to use ipv6, and
then gives up. IMO it should try ipv4 too.
Not sure, if this should go on bugs.gentoo.org, or if this is really a bug,
but it took me quite some time to figure it out...

Please reopen and change the summary if this is still a problem with >=xorg-x11-6.8.0.
