Released on 19 Nov 2017. Well, I'm not quite sure how to read NEWS bit about ABI. It *seems* to tell that ABI was restored to 3.1 version, but someone should recheck that.
Added, thanks!
Reading the commits, it seem, that they've kept the break, didn't bump library version, just declaring, that once in the future they decide to *officially* break the ABI, direct access to the symbols, that's responsible for this break, will no longer be possible. Might be a reasonable solution, but is it really a proper one ?
I do not know... but to be on the safe side, I allocated a new subslot to force rebuild dependent packages. We are Gentoo after all, and as we build from sources the changres in ABI are not that significant as long as they are known.
