Zoneminder's developers have released a new version of application (last one in portage is 1.30.2) with more bugfix and security issues.
It would be great if it will be in portage.
I think it's possible to use 1.30.2-r1 ebuild version as kick-off for building new package.
You can try with it.

Confirmed you can simply rename existing as zoneminder-1.30.4.ebuild

(I actually encountered an issue with zmc restarting in the 1.30.2-r1 release. That issues was reported fixed in 1.30.3, so I've been running the latest upstream release now without issue)
