Description Constantin Runge 2017-11-30 18:29:24 UTC
I could not update my system after the 3.4 -> 3.5 switch, as a few packages failed to install.

As the ebuilds do not specify the dependency for dev-python/setuptools explicitely, portage wanted to rebuild setuptools for 3.5 after rebuilding the affected packages. Thus when building them, setuptools was only available for 3.4. Adding the explicit dependncy fixes this.

On my machine, the following packages were affected (keyword ~amd64):

- dev-python/cachetools
- dev-python/dbus-python
- dev-python/entrypoints
- dev-python/python-augeas

Please file individual bugs for each package with an associated build.log and have it block bug 515060
