Description Alexander Skwar 2004-09-12 23:32:27 UTC
When I try to emerge x11-libs/esmart-0.9.0.20040828, it fails with the following output. After the /bin/sh line, it says: "/bin/sed: kann /usr/lib/libeet.la nicht lesen: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden", which means that it cannot read /usr/lib/libeet.la.

If dev-libs/eet is installed, error goes away.

libtool: link: `/usr/lib/libeet.la' is not a valid libtool archive

you had eet/embryo on your system at some point and thus libraries that esmart uses were linked against it

when you removed eet/embryo, those libraries broke
