When ever someone sends an Excel document it goes directly to 99% cpu usage and frezes itself of some sorts. GDB attaching the process gives 0 in back, just alot of memory pointers. even when clamav is compiled with USE="debug". The machine hardly lacks of memory or cpu and should be able to handle this without problem. qmail-scanner runs f-prot, clamscann and spamassasin in that order. And f-prot seems to have no problem at all. Never mind that last one.. it should have been a comment on a diffrent bug.. dunno why stupid bugzilla doesn't return me to the bug I just commented on. When leaving a comment.. instead it shifts me to the next bug in my "list"
This is related to SOFTLIMIT_OPTS in the file: /var/qmail/control/conf-common This is set to 8MB's default. But I dont know why it should die so horrible when scanning a 148KB file.... should be a way to make qmail-scanner not virus scan files over a certain size.... intrestingly enough... f-prot had noe problems scanning the same email. my scanner array: my @scanner_array=("fprot_scanner","clamscan_scanner","spamassassin");
memory aspect ... needed to set softlimits to 80MB
