Automatic file name extension does not add the file name extension. The save dialog window also does not confirm file overwrites is the file already exists. This seems to only affect Openoffice-ximian > 1.1.61 when compiled against kde 3.2.x or 3.3 using native KDE file save dialogs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Openoffice-ximian 1.3.x in KDE 2. Make test writer document "test" 3. "Save" and check "Automatic file name extension" Actual Results: File "test" is not automatically created as "test.sxw" nor does the file dialog ask for confirmation upon file overwrite should the file exist. Expected Results: Should have added the extension "sxw" to the oowriter document. I could find no information about this bug in the gentoo forums, on ooo.ximian.com, google, or google groups. I have this bug on the following platforms and machines: ppc G3 powerbook and several x86 and ~x86 gentoo installations. I rolled back to 1.1.61 until this issue is addressed.
Automatic file extension is allegedly working in the latest version.
thanks for reporting back, closing this
Save dialog still not functioning properly. Save dialog appends the correct file extension, but continues to append and append upon subsequent saves. You end up with test.sxw.sxw.sxw if you keep saving a file. Also, you are never ever prompted upon overwritting a file. I'd still consider this bug very much open.
Fixed with newest set of patches in openoffice-ximian-1.3.5-r1. Thanks.
