hi,
here is my workaroung :)
u have to download 
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/flash/english/linux/5.0r50/flash_li
nux.tar.gz
and then rename it to netscape-flash-5.0.50.tar.gz .. then put it 
int /usr/portage/distfiles

patch for net-www/netscape-flash-5.0.50.ebuild

This is a patch that changes one line in the current net-www/netscape-flash
ebuild so that it works.

I am new to the ways of constructing ebuild's, but if I were to build this in
the first place I would have built it like the patched version. Why is the
SRC_URI="mirror://gentoo/${P}.tar.gz" preferred?

the mirror wasn't updating from our servers. the file is on ibiblio now, anyway
