Description Muntean Alex 2004-09-12 00:48:09 UTC
the emerge of xorg-x11-6.8.0 went smoothly.
after let's say 5-10 minutes of being in screensaver-mode, the screen locks, the image gets distorted [this occurs when i move the mouse/press a key, right when the password prompt should appear]
also, xorg-x11-6.8.0 seems to crash out of nothing in particular [same lock, same distortion], no notable cpu/memory activity.
tried to run both fluxbox & xfce4 on it, same crashes.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. xlockmode / x screensaver for about 5-10 minutes seems to have done the trick here.
Actual Results:
screen lock / image distortion / total system crash [no response to keyboard/
mouse]

Does not sound like a xscreensaver issue if you are having random crashes within xorg-x11 as well.
Comment 2 Adam Jackson 2005-01-16 14:25:59 UTC
can't reproduce this. could you attach your xorg.conf please?
Comment 3 Jonathan Smith (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-22 14:48:14 UTC
does the new version of xlockmore (5.17) by chance fix this problem?
Comment 4 Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-26 19:08:25 UTC
Closing this until Muntean responds with the required information.
