Hi, The update to app-emulation/libvirt-3.8.0-r1 and dev-python/libvirt-python-3.8.0 (from 3.6.0) is blocked by app-emulation/libvirt-glib-1.0.0-r1 and there is no more recent version of that package in the tree. airmure ~ # emerge -va --update --newuse --deep --with-bdeps\=y @world && etc-update && emerge -a --depclean --with-bdeps\=y && eix-test-obsolete [ebuild U ] app-emulation/libvirt-3.8.0-r1:0/3.8.0::gentoo [3.6.0:0/3.6.0::gentoo] USE="caps dbus libvirtd lvm macvtap nls policykit qemu udev vepa (-apparmor) -audit -firewalld -fuse -gl usterfs -iscsi -libssh -lxc -nfs -numa (-openvz) -parted -pcap -phyp -rbd -sasl (-selinux) -uml -virt-network -virtualbox -wireshark-plugins -xen -zeroconf (-zfs)" 0 KiB [ebuild U ] dev-python/libvirt-python-3.8.0::gentoo [3.6.0::gentoo] USE="-examples {-test}" PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7 python3_4 -python3_5" 0 KiB app-emulation/libvirt:0 (app-emulation/libvirt-3.8.0-r1:0/3.8.0::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by app-emulation/libvirt:0/3.8.0 required by (dev-python/libvirt-python-3.8.0:0/0::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) ^^^^^^^^ (app-emulation/libvirt-3.6.0:0/3.6.0::gentoo, installed) pulled in by >=app-emulation/libvirt-1.2.6:0/3.6.0= required by (app-emulation/libvirt-glib-1.0.0-r1:0/0::gentoo, installed) ^^^^^^^^^ airmure ~ # equery keywords app-emulation/libvirt-glib Keywords for app-emulation/libvirt-glib: | | u | | a a p a n r s | n | | l m h i p r m m i i s p | e u s | r | p d a p a p c x m i 6 o s 3 a | a s l | e | h 6 r p 6 p 6 8 6 p 8 s c 9 s r | p e o | p | a 4 m a 4 c 4 6 4 s k 2 v 0 h c | i d t | o ------------+---------------------------------+-------+------- 1.0.0 | o + o o o o o + o o o o o o o o | 5 # 0 | gentoo [I]1.0.0-r1 | o + o o o o o + o o o o o o o o | 6 o | gentoo Thanks, -- alarig
The blocker comes from the fact that a subslot moves forces a rebuild of libvirt-glib. You either need to specify libvirt-glib for merge alongside with libvirt and libvirt-python, or use "-D".
