I tried to upgrade to Xorg 6.8.0 yesterday. And mm-sources. But in the of that things started to break (see diffrent Ebuild for that). So I downgraded Xorg to 6.7 and went back to gentoo-dev-sources .. Apparently I dont know when the last time I used X was.. But now alot of stuff is broken :( Problem 1: Xorg errors on the keyboard section and ask for outputs of xprop and gconftool2 Running the Gnome Keyboard Layout program X drops out and crashes. Chars like @,

Chars like @, £, $, {, [, ] and } dont work... actually no char that needs altgr dont work. Problem 2: Every now and then Xorg just terminates outta the blue it get's a signal 11 and terminates. I had to boot back to Windows to even file this report.. I'm gonna reboot to see if i can get some more sensible info out of this thing ;) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Not sure how it got to this really. But now it happends every time I run X.. Created attachment 39413 [details] Xorg.log from when it crashed with signal 11 This is Xorgs log from when it stopped with signal - 11 after loading Gnome, and I started Gnomes Keyboard Layout program.
I installed KDE now, still now 'special' chars... It seems to load the norwegian Keyboard Layout... but it doesn't allow altgr anymore still And intrestingly enough DEL works as backspace (even when not in X) Very annoying when trying to code something ;)

After installing KDE, and doing some changes to xorg.conf atleast I get æ-ø-å (Norwegian chars). But still no go on altgr.. And X is alot more unstable with KDE-3.3 .. Instead of crashing and giving me console back. It locks up totally.
