Once upon a time, the Crystal Space devs were requesting people to use the CVS to build against because it was more up-to-date with features and such. Now that the 0.9X series is being released, the CVS version is mostly for developers now. Is there a way to get an ebuild for the most current stable? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 45532 [details] amateur ebuilds for crystalspace cal3d and cel to be added to normal portage tree, these ebuilds will need some minor modifications
1. the crystalspace ebuild should have versions like 0.98 0.96 etc. and crystalspace-cvs versions like 20040922 ... why is it the other way round? the same thing goes to cel and cel-cvs 2. I've made some ebuilds for cel, crystalspace, and cal3d that should get you running the 0.98 version (and cal3d cvs, dubbed 0.9.2, so i wouldn't get into trouble of creating a cal3d-cvs thing) (posted in Comment #1) - they introduce some new opts (like newrenderer, or python disabling), get the files from either CVS (cal3d) or sourceforge (crystalspace and cel) BUT as i'm not good at making this stuff they need to be put in the /usr/local/portage dir, so the crystalspace patch will work 3. the patch I mentioned: you need it if you have GLHandleARB defined as "unsigned long int" instead of "unsigned int" in /usr/include/GL/glext.h (i know it is so if you have a new nvidia driver)
crystalspace-0.98.4 now in portage file new bugs about any issues with it please
