I have installed the current gnome GUI.  All seem to work so far except Chrome.
I can launch initial webs sites and occasional off some web sites like Google.
But when trying to connect to any site beyond, all I see is "waiting to connect"
I have (to my best) verified that the DNS addresses are correct.

Hi Frank. I believe the Gentoo forums or the IRC channel can be more helpful in this case.
