I use the keyboard extensively and try to stay clear of the mouse. With icewm, I can manage this to a large extent. However, there are still some unexpected behaviourial aspects. There are _keyboard_ actions which shift the focus to a window which is determined _by the mouse_ in focus-follows-mouse-mode. I see this as a bug. For example, when at virtual desktop 1 focus another window which is not under the mouse (alt-tab). Go to desktop 2 and then back to desktop 1. Now it doesn't select the previously selected window on desktop 1, but instead selects the window under the mouse. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: Icewm should not look at the mouse location when key is pressed. icewm 1.2.16
# Raise windows when focused RaiseOnFocus=1 # 0 / 1 try setting this to 0 in /etc/icewm/preferences or ~/.icewm/preferences
btw it was a mere guess at which Focus option might be mostlikely helping your issue i admit being happy with icewm + silversp theme i dont tinker in my preferences much if nothing in preferences helps this issue i would have to suggest to file a bug upstream, as it would be a feature request only upstream can complete
raiseonfocus was already set at 0; I will swim upstream.
