Hi, From http://infolinux.de/jp/: "The -jp kernel patch sets are development kernels for testing purpose only. They provide a service for developers who can't keep up to date with the latest kernel and interesting patches at the various places in the net. For those peoples who like to test interesting new features of large patches and evaluate bleeding-edge enhancements not to be expected for inclusion into the standard 2.4 kernel in the near future, the -jp kernel patch set offers an alternative." I like this kernel, and, moreover, I really appreciate that Gentoo offers several kernels. So here is an ebuild for the -jp14 patch set (will apply to 2.4.19 sources). It's based on the gentoo-sources ebuild. All the "headers" specific part is unchanged, because I don't really know what it is... -- Thomas. PS: I suggest "sys-kernel" for this stuff ;)
Created attachment 3006 [details] archive of the ebuild directory
Created attachment 3701 [details] jp-sources.tar.bz2 Bug fix on patches 93 & 94. Makes previous attachment obsolete.
perhaps after the freeze...
As jp-kernels are no longer maintained, can this bug be closed?
Since it was my first bugreport, I will miss it, but it's true it is a good candidate for a spring-cleaning :)
