BTW: I've recently upgraded the system from gcc-4 to gcc-5 and that has caused breakage with the C++ AIB, if that is what is causing this bug just tell me and I'll rebuild the package with the broken AIB.

There is no way to mark messages are read but not purge them so I sometimes don't notice when a new message arrives.
