Comments:

Take out S=${WORKDIR}/${P}
Use GAMES_PREFIX_OPT instead of /opt
error check the cp in src_install
install the symlink in src_install
no need to chmod
get rid of pkg_prerm()

Here is a working ebuild.

The Readme.txt file mentions a version 1.1 patch which should be applied also, but I can't find a download for it. The mod works without it.

This mod has been abandoned, it seems. An attempt was made to port it to Half-Life 2:

I think with it abandoned, I'd rather not include it since we won't be able to resolve any bugs for it.  Thanks for the information.
