palemoon tends to have issues on newer GCCs, so I ensured 4.9.4 was being used to build it and did the usual `. /etc/profile && env-update` before building. # gcc-config -l [1] Looks like it is python to blame. Please check building on 2.7.13 and 2.7.12, cannot check it myself now. If it will work then I'll forbid bad versions for ebuild and contact developer so mozilla build system may be updated and/or fixed.

Apologies for taking so long to get back to this bug. Masking dev-lang/python-2.7.14 (and downgrading to 2.7.13) fixed the issue. There must've been a change in the way Python handles polling.
Developer has fixed this issue in upstream. Old ebuilds will include masked python-2.7.14.
Build 9999 has this issue no more. For existing resealse ebuilds python version is locked below 2.7.14.
