Description SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-09-08 12:19:46 UTC
i tried running `catalyst target=snapshot version_stamp=test` and catalyst started to do its thing but then came back with a 'could not complete build'

no idea wtf that meant, i banged my head on the keyboard a few times and tried different things

found that running `catalyst asdfasdf` resulted in the same error message ... which lead me to reading the output of `catalyst -h` for a few minutes ... then i noticed the new option '-C' which is required to get the old behavior of 1.8.x

please add some error messages to catalyst !
- if no -f or -C option detected, bail and say at least one of those are required
- at the end of `catalyst -h` put two examples, one showing how to build a portage snapshot with -C and one showing how to build a stage target with -f

fixed in CVS
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-09-09 05:39:36 UTC
mmm just thought of another check ... -f and -C shouldnt be used together, and if they are, catalyst should bail
