There is noise in text. I had no this before, possibly related to nodejs update to 8.5.0

I have same problems with some other js-based apps so that's why I think it's very related to node

I can't see the problem.

At any rate if the text just looks bad it's a cosmetic issue and I'd need to see more information.

Try also checking your font antialiasing settings and also your subpixel aliasing.

I need more information.

What desktop environment are you using, for example.
