Compile-time error occurs. I recently upgraded from 4.9.4 versions of gcc to 5.4.0, and compiled with it's help several packages, but then I have rolled back to the previous one (simply "gcc-config <number_of_4.9.4> && emerge -1 libtool"), and I use it now to compile dev-tex/bibtexu-3.71_p20170524. dev-tex/bibtexu-3.71_p20170524 compiles fine here with gcc-5.4.0-r3 please verify that your gcc and the corresponding libs are compiled properly. see also https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Upgrading_GCC Please reopen, if you are sure I missed something.
