When I do,
vim somefile.txt<Here I press enter>

I sometimes get stray characters in my edited file
from what I can tell it looks like it pastes some stuff from pastebuffer, but replaces one of last characters with number '2'

for example I get 
   sometab[aaaa] = '\0'2
inserted at remembered cursor position
and when I press 'p' pastebuffer contains
   sometab[aaaa] = '\0';


As you can imagine it's really annoying when you try to edit file and it suddenly has some "random" input.
