OK, I can reproduce with > isoinfo 3.02a07 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1993-1999 Eric Youngdale (C) 1999-2016 Joerg Schilling from app-cdr/cdrtools-3.02_alpha07-r1 It works with > isoinfo 1.1.11 (Linux) from app-cdr/cdrkit-1.1.11-r2 (currently not in Gentoo)
Daniel, you are the maintainer of app-cdr/cdrtools. Do you have an idea what's different in isoinfo from cdrtools? Looks like > isoinfo -itestok/iso.image -x/ISO.TXT is failing/returning different things.
(In reply to Thomas Deutschmann from comment #20) > Daniel, you are the maintainer of app-cdr/cdrtools. Do you have an idea > what's different in isoinfo from cdrtools? > > Looks like > > > isoinfo -itestok/iso.image -x/ISO.TXT > is failing/returning different things. Running the test perl script with debug option: ./test.pl -d result:Setting input-charset to 'UTF-8' from locale. Setting input-charset to 'UTF-8' from locale. testless testok/iso.image:/ISO.TXT\;1 NOT ok I suppose isoinfo from cdrkit does not produce the output about setting the input-charset? So this is probably the reason it fails with cdrtools. @Thomas: I don't have cdrkit here, maybe you can check this?
This part: less testok/a\ b.tgz:testok/a\#b.sxw NOT ok less testok/a\ b.tgz:testok/a\~b.odt NOT ok Is reproduceable without cdrtools installed. In this users build log, you'll see: less testok/a\ b.tgz:testok/a\#b.sxw ignored, needs sxw2txt less testok/a\ b.tgz:testok/a\~b.odt ignored, needs sxw2txt However, sxw2txt is provided by lesspipe. ( I do an install run before I do a test run, which makes this evident ) I'll consider filing an individual bug for this if need be, but just running out the door.
Okay so I recovered the latest version of cdrkit from Git. Running "isoinfo -itestok/iso.image -x/ISO.TXT" isoinfo from cdrkit returns nothing. Running it with isoinfo from cdrtools returns "Setting input-charset to 'UTF-8' from locale.". This output makes the test fail. Explicitly setting the charset with isoinfo from cdrtools also returns nothing. So running the test like "isoinfo -j UTF-8 -itestok/iso.image -x/ISO.TXT" or any other valid charset/locale should fix this issue. So lesspipe should just adapt the test to fix this issue.
