build.log.gz

After upgrading to 1.8.21 (including _p1)

sudo ls

produces no output.

sudo -u root ls

produces no output

sudo -u portage ls

works

sudo -s -u portage

works

sudo -s -u root

simply returns me to the same prompt.

additionally, things like:

sudo -u portage whoami

Managed to *hang* periodically needing ^C interference.

I'm not able to debug this further as adding debugging instructions to sudo.conf doesn't say anything interesting, and running sudo under strace breaks sudo.

But suffice to say based on upgrading/downgrading a bunch of times, all I can determine is 1.8.21 is very broken and should probably not be installable, and I've had to downgrade to 1.8.20_p2 to be able to continue working.

Please try with =app-admin/sudo-1.8.21_p2 and report back if that fixes your issues.

_p2 fixes this.
