Description Andrea Cerrito 2004-09-06 01:11:52 UTC
The connector has a bug that prevent the use of EX 2003 SP1 if SSL is enabled (and forced, I mean it's impossibile to use OWA in http).
The patch at that url seems to solve the problem. This patch applied without problems on connector 1.4.7.2.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. install SP1 on exchange 2003
2. enable SSL (howto on support.microsoft.com)
3. try to connect with connector

Actual Results:
Mailbox for $USERNAME is not on this server.

Expected Results:
The connector permit the connection.

the patch is already in CVS slated for 1.4.7.3. if you could backport the patch from CVS, that would help this along alot.

I have to get this working for work so I'll post results later during the day. I'm quite new to CVS and patch making so it might not be perfect on my first try :)

backport from CVS 1.4.7.3

This doesn't resolve my issues that Evo cannot connect to ex2k3 with or without
ssl at all ! (same error message as in the first comment; tcpdump also reveals
a 404)

Evolution is sending this header line "Translate: F" which sends back a 404. If
I send the same headers without this particular line (using telnet) I get a
200.

Hope this patch fixes something ... anything :)

Comment 7 Alastair Tse (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-05 02:18:58 UTC
well, if the patch doesn't solve anything noticable, then it probably isn't worth putting in as yet. someone submitted a patch to ximian-connector 2.0.1 that says solves the same problem for ximian-connector 2.0.1
Comment 8 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-05 05:37:37 UTC
I was hoping that Andrea (original bug reporter) would test this out first. Perhaps it fixes his problems.
Comment 9 Andrea Cerrito 2004-12-07 09:44:41 UTC
Sorry, I just upgraded to Exchange 2003 and Evolution 2.1.0.
Comment 10 Mike Gardiner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-18 22:08:36 UTC
Reporter upgraded, please reopen if this problem persists and you have a (working) patch.
