While using a Slackware system, I noticed that the welcome page that Thunderbird displays uses the new Thunderbird icon (the envelope with a bird just behind it). The copy of Thunderbird installed on my Gentoo system (via emerge) uses the old icon in both the welcome page and the about dialog. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Thunderbird 2. Open the 'About' dialog Actual Results: The old icon is displayed. Expected Results: The new icon (the envelope surrounded by the blue bird) should display.
also firefox has a different icon from the normal one. i think it's a problem of branding since mozilla.org doesn't allow for the use of those official icons for user built packages (at least, a discussion went on here on bugs.g.o). else, some flags need to be enabled at compile time (BUILD_OFFICIAL and MOZILLA_OFFICIAL, I think). ain't too sure, though.
