Description Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-04 04:53:03 UTC
E-mail sent to www@gentoo.org by 'Chris Gottbrath' <chrisg@fw.gil-barad.net>:

"""
Hey Gentoo Guys & Gals,

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=2&chap=3

has a minor bug:

the green 'note' block that says:
*"Note: * From now on, we will omit the --usepkg option throughout the
rest of the Gentoo Handbook, as you now know how to install binary
packages when you want to."

appears in the section on distcc -- I believe it should be further down
the page right after the instructions
on using --usepkg have been given.
"""
Comment 1 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-09 04:28:26 UTC
The note itself is obsolete; it's a remnant of "the old days" when we still instructed the users to use --usepkg.

I've removed the note.
