I've succesfully emerged games-action/bzflag-1.10.6.20040515-r1.

There is the problem of the games group: it doesn't exist, I've tried to add it manually, but bzlfag won't work with normal users.

it run with root :D

Thnxs. Once we have the user/group adding GLEP 27 implemented, this package will be masked stable in CVS.

Since bug: 57900, MacOS does create the groups correctly. Perhaps you were only looking in /etc/group? This is not how MacOS X handles groups, it uses niutils instead. I thought that games.eclass was patched, but I guess I must have forgotten to submit it when we fixed 57900. Basically, the message at the end of the games.eclass should include this information to add your user to the games group:

niutil -appendprop / /groups/games users <username>

Unfortunately, since we still don't have a working baselayout, this will not completely fix the problem (/usr/games/bin/ does not get added to your path). I think this bug should depend on the baselayout bug as well.

this is completely outdated, sorry.
